Cunningham Hill Infant School in St Albans received rolls of wildflower turf donated by local firm George Davies Turf for Wildflower Week.
One of the company's signature red lorries delivered the turf, aimed to improve picnic, play, and forest school areas.
George Davies, proprietor of the family-run business said: "We’re delighted to have been able to support Cunningham Hill Infant School and others ahead of Wildflower Week, and we look forward to catching up with them over the coming months to see how their wildflowers are looking and what new wildlife they have visiting now as a result."
Jessica Pyne, site administrator at the school, said: "We were over the moon to receive the Wildflower Turf from George Davies Turf and create our very own ‘mini meadow’.
"Our Eco Councillors were on hand to help prep the area and lay the new turf and are very excited to watch the flowers bloom in the coming weeks and inviting more nature in."
