St Albans is set for a raft of road closures throughout April, with motorists told to expect delays of up to 30 minutes.

Eight roads closure are set to be in place in and around the city from April 6 to 20, some of which could cause delays of up to 30 minutes.

The following roads will be closed this month:

  • M25 will be closed anti-clockwise from 10pm on April 6 to 6am on April 7, between Junction 22 to Junction 21A. Lane closures for Amco Giffen/Network Rail. Delays of around 10 minutes.
  • M1 southbound will be closed from 10.30pm on April 6 to 5.30am on April 8, between Junction 6 to Junction 5. Carriageway closed for resurfacing work. Diversion via National Highways and Local Authorities roads. Delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.
  • M1 southbound, from 10pm on April 8 to 5am on April 9, between Junction 9 to Junction 7. Lane closure due to electrical works on behalf of Camway Installations. Delays of around 10 minutes.
  • M25 clockwise and anti-clockwise, between Junction 21 to M1 northbound from 10pm on April 8 to 5am on April 9. Lane one closure for speed camera maintenance. Delays of around 10 minutes.
  • M25 anti-clockwise, between Junction 21A and Junction 20, carriageway closure, entry slip road closure and M1 southbound, from 10pm on April 11 to 5am on April 12. Link road closures for bearing works. Diversion via National Highways and local authority roads. Delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.
  • M1 southbound, between Junction 8 and Junction 6A, M1, from 10pm on April 12 to 5am April on 13. Lane closure for carriageway reconstruction renewal on behalf of National Highways. Delays of around 10 minutes.
  • M1 both directions, between Junction 10 and 6A, from 10pm on April 15 to 5am on May 11. Lane closure for central reservation work on behalf of National Highways. Delays of around 10 minutes.
  • M25 anti-clockwise, between Junction 21A and Junction 19, from 10pm on April 15 to 6am on April 20. Carriageway and link road closed for surfacing works. Diversion via local authorities roads. Delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.
