Lead tiles have been stolen from the porch of a St Albans GP surgery overnight.

Between 3pm on Sunday, March 17 and 6.30am yesterday (Monday, March 18) the items were taken from the roof of Grange Street Surgery's porch.

According to the surgery, neighbours Dental Beauty Practice was the victim of a similar crime.

A spokesperson for Hertfordshire Constabulary said: "At 7.28am yesterday morning (March 18) police were called to be informed that the lead tiles from the roof of the porch of Grange Street Surgery, St Albans.

"This is believed to have taken place between the material times of 3pm on March 17 and 6.30am on March 18."
