Barratt Homes has made a generous £1,500 donation to The Counselling Foundation.
The St Albans charity provides counselling services to around 400 clients weekly, making it an integral contributor to mental health in the region.
It also provides professional training courses, helping people become a qualified counsellor.
The donation will be directed to individuals unable to afford counselling sessions.
It comes from The Barratt Foundation, the housebuilder's charity partnership.
Tracy McPhillips from The Counselling Foundation said: "Barratt North Thames’ donation will go towards making sure that individuals who might not be able to access counselling will be able to seek help and ultimately this will change lives, for them and those around them for the better."
Marc Woolfe, director of sales and marketing at Barratt North Thames, affirmed their hope for the donation to raise awareness and continued support for mental health needs.
