Two vehicles have been seized in Hemel Hempstead as part of an operation targeting sites linked to organised crime.

Both vehicles were stopped in the Admiral Avenue area last night (Tuesday, February 6) and their drivers were found to have no licence or insurance.

Along with the vehicles being seized, a 23-year-old man and a 43-year-old man have been reported for the offences.

Several other vehicles were stopped during the operation.

A spokesperson for Hertfordshire Constabulary said: "The operation was conducted by the constabulary’s Operational Support Group (OSG) in response to a rise in vehicle crime and other concerns, including robberies and thefts linked to organised criminals using selling sites in the area.

"If you have information about criminality in your local area, please report it to police to help us build up the intelligence we need to take action."
