Traffic is currently building as a broken down lorry has caused the closure of a road between St Albans and Welwyn Garden City.
Coopers Green Lane was closed prior to 5.11pm this evening (Wednesday, January 31), when Hertfordshire police confirmed that officers were at the scene and congestion was present.
Heavy traffic is currently being experienced between Stanborough and Hatfield.
Motorists have been advised to avoid the area.
A spokesperson for Hertfordshire Constabulary said: "Please note that Coopers Green Lane in St Albans is currently closed due to a broken down lorry.
