Described as a "super mum", 69-year-old Doreen has jumped out of a plane for the hospice supporting her daughter.
Doreen Long completed the sky-dive on Saturday (January 13) for Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care.
The St Albans charity is currently caring for Doreen's daughter, Marie, who has been diagnosed with cancer.
The "true superstar" has raised £1,200 for the charity, and still has a JustGiving page open.
To become fit enough for a sky-dive, Doreen has lost over two-and-a-half stone since joining her local Slimming World group at Welwyn Garden City United Reformed Church.
According to Slimming World, Doreen joined the group "to lose weight and stay fit and healthy, to be able to help support her daughter".
Her daughter, Marie, is "so incredibly proud of her mum and is truly thankful".
Slimming World consultant Julie Horrocks said: "Doreen is a true superstar.
"She is so inspiring and motivating and the whole group are so very proud of her and her brave achievement.
"This takes body magic to a whole new level!
"She is an inspirational lady and every week she shares with us what she is doing."
Doreen herself highlighted the need for her to "do something good", having witnessed a number of family members experience cancer in the past.
She added: "I'm so pleased that I've lost weight, making me fitter and healthier to be able to do something good for the charity.
"I have sadly experienced lots of family members with cancer and ill health, and now my daughter has cancer I really needed to do something good."
