An 11-year-old boy has been assaulted after being approached by a group in St Albans.

The incident took place at around 3.50pm on Friday, October 20, when a number of teenagers or young adults approached the child in High Oaks.

One of the group then assaulted the boy, leaving him with "reddening and bruising".

Officers had released an image of a man who they wished to speak with.
