Visitors to Willows Activity Farm this Christmas can enjoy a fun-packed Santa Spectacular experience.

On selected dates between November 24 and December 24, families will be able to walk through a winter wonderland featuring festive characters, nutcrackers and elves before meeting Father Christmas in his grotto.

Every child who sees him will be given a special golden key to his toy shop where they will be able to choose a gift to take home.

Lyssa Elster, chief executive at Willows Activity Farm, said: “Christmas really is the most wonderful time of the year here at Willows.

"We are especially excited to launch our new ‘make your own Christmas Eve sleigh’ activity this year where children can make and decorate a miniature wooden sleigh specially designed to hold a drink and mince pie for Santa on Christmas Eve.”

The Create-a-Cuddle workshop will also be returning to the Willows’ Christmas experience where little ones can choose from a range of teddy bears, complete with birth certificate to make and take home.

And the festive fun doesn’t stop there. Visitors to the activity farm in Coursers Road can join Mrs Claus to hand-decorate a gingerbread and head to the Elves’ house to write a letter to Santa, who will personally send a reply to every child.

“We have a Christmas cracker full of seasonal fun for all our guests over the festive season and I’m thrilled to be welcoming those families that return year after year as well as those visiting for the first time,” added Lyssa.

Our animals will be out to greet visitors throughout the Santa Spectacular including our reindeer, Ivy, Silver and Holly, our traditional sledding dog, Mischka, and our donkey, Dillon.

"The synthetic no ice ice-rink will also be open to give everyone the experience of skating without getting too cold or wet – perfect for our younger visitors.

“We also have a packed programme of festive shows including a new Willows panto, Tristan the Runaway Tractor’s festive woodland ride, and the Peter Rabbit Adventure Playground.”

Santa Spectacular takes place at Willows Activity Farm near St Albans on selected dates between November 24 and December 24. Tickets must be purchased online in advance.
