The refurbishment of a Grand Union Canal towpath between Hemel Hempstead and Kings Langley has been officially unveiled.

A ceremony for the towpath, which runs from Nash Mills to the River Gade Lakes, took place on Thursday, November 2.

Works began in April and saw an 800 metre stretch of path resurfaced and bushes and trees cut back.

The ceremony, in which a ribbon was cut, was attended by Dacorum councillors and other partners, with Hemel Garden Communities, Three Rivers District Council, Nash Mills Parish Council and Kings Langley Parish Council all contributing to the project.

Cllr Sheron Wilkie, of Dacorum Borough Council, said: "“It’s been wonderful to see the results of this joint effort to upgrade the canal towpath between Nash Mills and King’s Langley.
