A popular Harpenden pub has reopened after a makeover.

The Harpenden Arms, at 188 High Street, opened its doors yesterday (Thursday, October 12) with a revamped design and a brand new menu.

Rebecca Emmett, general manager, has also introduced a new range of cocktails and brought back a quiz night every Thursday.

Rebecca's partner, Charlie Pugh, is head chef in the kitchen, and has introduced a menu that includes traditional favourites including beer-battered fish and chips, alongside exciting new dishes such as South Coast pork fillet and Cornish Orchards braised belly, ox cheek ragu, steamed broccoli and lentil salad, and Sri Lankan sweet potato and green bean curry.

The Fuller's pub has also refurbished its dedicated upstairs function room, which has its own separate bar and is available for hire.
