St Albans MP Daisy Cooper has been shadowing staff at the Rennie Grove Peace charity shop on Victoria Street to mark Hospice Care Week.
Daisy's shift saw her getting to know the staff and volunteers, learning about the operations of the shop and finding out about their role funding hospice care in the area.
This year Hospice Care Week, which runs from October 9 to 15, has a theme of 'We Are Hospice Care' - aiming to highlight the people who make up a hospice, from clinical staff to bereavement counsellors, kitchen staff and volunteer gardeners.
Nicola Flood, head of buying and operations at Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care, said: "It was a pleasure to welcome Daisy to our Victoria Street shop.

"The work that staff and volunteers do in our 32 High Street shops around Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire is invaluable to the running of the charity."
Daisy added: "Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care is a fantastic local charity, and it is wonderful to see how many people are supporting it.
"The charity shop on Victoria Street stocks a great variety of clothing lines and home wear, which is great for those watching the pennies as well as those trying to combat fast fashion."
