A motorist has sustained facial injuries after the driver of a second vehicle began hitting their Volkswagen Polo, following a crash.

A crash took place between 4.50am and 5.10am on Sunday, September 10, near the Bell Lane roundabout in London Colney.

The Volkswagen Polo and a second vehicle - thought to be either a Ford Focus or Vauxhall Astra - were involved.

Following the collision, the driver of the second car exited his vehicle and began hitting the Volkswagen.

Broken glass caused facial injuries to the Volkswagen's driver.

Hertfordshire police have now appealed for anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward.

PC Rochelle Staddon said: "Our enquiries are continuing, and I am urging anyone with information to please get in touch.

“Did you see what happened?

"Alternatively, if you were driving in the area at the time and have a dash cam fitted, please check it as you may have recorded some crucial footage to assist our investigation.”
