A missing 16-year-old girl from Hemel Hempstead has now been found.

Prior to her disappearance, Shannon was last seen at 4.30pm on Friday, September 8.

Police had been growing concerned for her welfare.

A spokesperson for Hertfordshire Constabulary said at the time: "We are appealing for the public’s help to trace a teenager who has gone missing from Hemel Hempstead.

"Officers are concerned for her welfare.

"She also has links to Bedfordshire.

"If you have seen Shannon since she was reported missing or have information about where she has been, please call Hertfordshire Constabulary’s non-emergency number 101.

If you believe you are with Shannon now or have seen her in the last few moments, please call 999 immediately."

However, an update released yesterday evening (Friday, September 15) read: "Good news, missing Shannon from Hemel has been found safe.

"Thank you for sharing our appeal."
