High-energy Irish music is coming to Harpenden for 'One Night in Dublin' this September.
The Wild Murphys, described as 'the best Irish band to never come from Ireland', will appear at the Eric Morecambe Centre at 7.30pm on Thursday, September 7.
The seven-piece band features lead singer Middi Murphy on the accordion, alongside Trevor Brewis on drums, Tony Davis on keys and BBC award-winning fiddle player Sophy Ball.
During the two-hour show, The Wild Murphys will play favourites from The Pogues, The Dubliners, Van Morrison, Daniel O'Donnell, The Fureys and a host of other Irish artists.
Explaining what to expect, lead singer Middi said: "I think, above all, you should expect a fantastic atmosphere with the vibe of being in an Irish Pub on St Patrick's Night.
"It's got great music, loads of singalong songs and there’s a bit of banter in the show that the audience loves."
The band will perform sing-along Irish classics including Galway Girl, Tell Me Ma, The Irish Rover, Brown Eyed Girl, Seven Drunken Nights and Whiskey in the Jar, Wild Rover and Molly Malone.
Middi said: "I grew up with the music of Ireland; my dad especially was a huge lover of Irish music.
"He used to get cassettes of all the new bands and artists that were going around at the time, and he was always playing them when he was working - in the van or on the tractors.

"He used to take me to see all the acts when they came anywhere local, and it all just grew on me.
"As I got older, I discovered the more raucous acts like The Pogues and The Saw Doctors and of course, in later life, The Dropkick Murphys and Flogging Molly really showed me how wild that music could be."
Middi's personal favourite song in the show is 'If I Ever Leave This World Alive' by Flogging Molly.
The band has been touring 'One Night in Dublin' for four years, including playing at the Glasgow Pavilion on St Patrick's Night to an audience of more than 1,250.
