Pub in the Park is returning to St Albans next month with four exciting new restaurants for hungry foodies to try.

The UK's largest food and music festival will take place in Verulamium Park from September 8 to 10, with food ranging from classic British pub grub to sunny Spanish delights, and Afghan barbecue to Indian comfort food.

Four new additions are being welcomed to this year's Pub in the Park, with two of this cooking up some of fine Asian food for people to enjoy.

Hoppers will be offering up incredible Sri Lankan food from one of London's best restaurants, while The Little Viet Kitchen's traditional Vietnamese noodles will be a must-try.

Tapas Brindisa will be bringing their delicious and authentic Spanish menu to the event, as well as The Beehive and their fantastic British pub classics.

Those aren't the only exciting new additions to Pub in the Park, with a Chef’s Special dish being introduced on each menu.

Each dish will be a personal take on one that inspired Pub in the Park chefs, with the The Hand & Flowers’ Chef’s Special being Tom Kerridge's take on a classic curry dog.

"This hot dog is a massive trip down memory lane, and reminds me of going for a deep fried sausage and curry sauce at the local chippy when growing up in Matson, Gloucestershire."

And by popular demand, every pub and restaurant at the festival will offer a children’s dish for the very first time, with highlights including a simple kids burger from Hand & Flower’s, pulled pork roll from The Beehive, traditional crispy 'Chả Giò' vegetable spring rolls from the Little Viet Kitchen, and a mature cheese and potato croquette from The Green Man.
