Happycrew Childcare recently invited St Albans MP Daisy Cooper to celebrate their open day, after they expanded to nursery status earlier this year.
In January, Happcrew took on and refurbished three large rooms with an outdoor area on the grounds of Margaret Wix School.
The recent open day saw 114 people visit the nursery and enjoy an ice cream van and a barbecue.
Daisy Cooper said: "It is just so so wonderful to see how passionate you are, and to see early education being done right."
Due to Happycrew's expansion they have gradually been taking on new families.
A nursery spokesperson said: "We are not all about money and filling capacity.
"We are about providing a nurturing and safe environment for staff and children alike where it is a joy to be and lots of learning and play can take place.

"We have been slowly building up our numbers so not to overwhelm our current children after the move and now we are ready to start taking on more wonderful families."
