St Albans businessman Gavin Prime has been shortlisted for the prestigious Great British Entrepreneur Awards 2023.

Gavin founded Inzodiac, a technology company based at the University of Hertfordshire Enterprise Hub.

Inzodiac is an app that uses star sign compatibility to bring people together.

The business has been shortlisted in the Technology Entrepreneur of the Year category - which reflects businesses' entrepreneurial spirit, dedication, and remarkable achievements within their industry.

Gavin told this newspaper: "We are incredibly humbled that our hard work has been recognised by such a coveted award body within the startup ecosystem.

"We are immensely proud to be shortlisted and thank everyone that has helped get Inzodiac to where we are today and GBEA for their acknowledgement.

"I want to also praise to the Gaurav Singh and colleagues at the University of Hertfordshire Enterprise Zone for their invaluable support and guidance, we couldn’t have done it without them."

Now in its 11th year, and previously described as “The Grammys for Entrepreneurship”, The Great British Entrepreneur Awards celebrate the outstanding individuals and businesses that drive innovation, generate employment opportunities, and contribute to the growth of the UK economy. 

The awards ceremony will take place on November 20 at London’s Grosvenor House, where industry leaders, innovators, and influencers will gather to celebrate the achievements of the finalists.
