Latest court results from Hertfordshire and surrounding areas: The following cases were heard at Stevenage, St Albans and Hatfield Magistrates' Courts.

Stevenage Magistrates Court – May 11 

Obafemi Okusanya: 55, of Hadleigh Close, Shenley. On August 8 drove a BMW at Cavendish Way, Hatfield at 38mph when the speed limit is 30mph. Fined £153 plus ordered to pay victim services £61 and court costs £110. Disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving license for 6 months. 

Margareta Tabara: 43, of Long Chaulden, Hemel Hempstead. On August 10 drove a Volvo on M25 junction 24-23 Shenley at 72mph when the speed limit is 40mph. Fined £225 plus ordered to pay victim services £90 and court costs £110. Driving record endorsed with 6 points. 

Stevenage Magistrates Court – May 12 

Barry Murray: 53, of Nicholls Close, Redbourn. On March 7, 2022 drove a Vauxhall Corsa at Bricket Wood when there was no insurance in place to cover the use of the vehicle. Fined £600 plus ordered to pay victim services £60 and court costs £110. Disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving license for 6 months. 

Jamil Ahmed: 47, of Dorrington Close, Luton. On July 5 drove a Toyota at Chiswick Roundabout in Hounslow when using a mobile phone. Fined £200 plus ordered to pay victim services £80 and court costs £110. Disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving license for 6 months. 

Shahbab Naseem Ali: 28, of Alexander Road, London Colney. On September 15 failed to give information relating to the driver of a Vauxhall Astra who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence. Fined £425 plus ordered to pay victim services £170 and court costs £110. Driving record endorsed with 6 points. 

Desmond Chakonda: 30, of Brookland Close, Luton. On August 1 drove an Audi A3 on Lower Luton Road, Harpenden at 36mph when the speed limit is 30mph. Fined £40 plus ordered to pay court costs £110 and victim services £16. Driving record endorsed with 3 points. 

St Albans Magistrates Court – May 10 

Richard Allen: 63, of Howe Road, Hemel Hempstead. On June 6 drove a Jaguar on A41, Tring at 105mph when the speed limit is 70mph. Fined £120 plus ordered to pay victim services £34 and court costs £110. Driving record endorsed with 6 points.
