St Albans City and District Council has called a by-election for St Peters ward following the resignation of a councillor.
Liberal Democrat councillor Danny Clare quit last month, with the vote to replace him taking place on Tuesday, June 13.

The by-election candidate list will be published on Wednesday, May 17, and the elected candidate will serve until May 2024.
Poll cards have been issued and voters are asked to check the location of their polling station as it has changed for some.

Voters are also being reminded they will need to show approved photo ID to vote at a polling station. This includes a current or expired UK passport or driver’s licence.
Anyone who does not have one of the accepted forms of ID can apply online for free ID.
