A new health clinic has opened its doors in St Albans and is set to offer health assessments, primary care services, and more.

Bupa Health Centre is located on Everard Close and has state of the art facilities including Wattbikes - which tests cardiorespiratory fitness - nine clinical rooms and from July, an on-site mammography.

Research by Bupa recently found that over three quarters of UK adults (78 per cent) have concerns about their health for the year ahead, with worries about weight and mental health being the biggest concerns.

Not getting enough exercise (20 per cent), back problems (13 per cent) and diet (14 per cent) were also key concerns, along with blood pressure (10 per cent) and managing pre-existing conditions such as diabetes (10 per cent).

Through the clinic, customers will be able to book in for a range of health assessments to get an overall picture of their current health and wellbeing, up to an hour appointment with a GP, ear wax removal, access to Bupa’s menopause plan, period plan and sexual health services.

In the coming months, the Bupa Health Clinic will also be introducing physiotherapy and musculoskeletal services.
