- Two lanes were closed on the road's northbound carriageway.
- Traffic officers from National Highways, three ambulances and an ambulance officer vehicle attended the scene.
- Hertfordshire police have confirmed that three vehicles were involved.
- Five miles of traffic had been reported, causing delays of around 30 minutes.
