Hatfield Magistrates Court – February 10 

Owen Parks: 20, of Ladies Grove, St Albans. On September 9, 2021 assaulted two men by beating at Dover Priory Railway Station. On January 6, 2023 failed to surrender to custody at Medway Magistrates Court having been released on bail in criminal proceedings on December 12, 2023. Ordered to pay compensation £200. Community order made – unpaid work requirement. 

Stevenage Magistrates Court – February 10 

Hamish Barrett: 26, of Gladstone Road, Watford. On April 6 drove a Vauxhall Astra on the M25 junction 18-19 clockwise at 96mph when the speed limit is 70mph. Fined £400 plus ordered to pay victim services £40 and court costs £85. Driving record endorsed with 5 points. 

Lee Gimson: 53, of Fennycroft Road, Hemel Hempstead. On May 15 drove a Peugeot on Leighton Buzzard Road, Hemel Hempstead, while he was using a handheld mobile phone. Fined £211 plus ordered to pay victim services £34 and court costs £110. Driving record endorsed with 6 points. 

Stevenage Magistrates Court – February 16 

Suleman Bhatti: 43, of High View, Watford. On May 25 failed to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a BMW who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence. Fined £1,460 plus ordered to pay victim services £146 and court costs £110. Disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving license for 6 months. 

Hayden Godfrey: 20, of Marshalswick Lane, St Albans. On April 23 drove a Ford Focus on Martins Way, Stevenage at 100mph when the speed limit is 40mph. Fined £750 plus ordered to pay victim services £75 and court costs £110. Driving record endorsed with 8 points. 

St Albans Magistrates Court – 21 February 

Christos Zorpas: 34, of Someries Hill, Luton. On July 1, failed to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a Ford Focus who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence. Fined £200 plus ordered to pay court costs £85 and victim services £80. Driving record endorsed with 3 points.
