A MAJOR fire has just broken out at a local secondary school.
Fire crews were called to Verulam School in Brampton Road, St Albans, at 11.30am.
A parent whose son is a student at the school said he has just called her to say that flames were leaping out of the French block and that all the pupils had been evacuated.
An eye witness who lives in Brampton Road said he had never seen so many fire engines in one place before.
