TEDDIES of every shape, size and colour joined their young owners for an annual picnic in the park on Saturday.
Held at Lydekker Park in Harpenden, the teddy bears picnic attracted over 750 people who enjoyed free entertainment from Smartie Artie, a bouncy castle and face painting.
The picnic was organised by Harpenden town council and sponsored by Playschool Nursery. Among the guests was Deputy Town Mayor, Cllr Daniel Chichester-Miles who said: "It was fantastic to see so many children and their teddies enjoy Harpenden's secret garden."
Playschool Nursery owner Darren Goes said: "There was a marvellous atmosphere with many generations of families and friends picnicking together. We are proud to support this wonderful fun event for the young people of Harpenden.
