AN inquest held today (Thursday) heard the details of a head-on car crash in which a father-of-two died instantly.
Rajib Ali Khan was driving along the A1081 through Kinsbourne Green on his way to work at the time of the accident on January 8, at around 5am.
The 33-year-old, from Carisbrook Road in Luton, was the manager of the Mr Bean Caf� in Station Approach, Harpenden.
His car, a black Vauxhall Vectra, hurtled onto the opposite side of the road and into the path of a transit van driven by Greg Truszak, a Network Rail engineer.
The inquest to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident lasted for more than four hours and heard evidence from various witnesses.
Herts Coroner Edward Thomas concluded that Mr Khan's death was accidental.
