A CROWD of retired businessmen were entertained by MP Peter Lilley at their monthly luncheon this week.

The Probus Secundus Club in Harpenden, which has been catering for retired and semi-retired businessmen in the local area for over 20 years, asked the Conservative MP for Hitchin and Harpenden to give a talk at the event on Monday which was held at the Ramada Hotel in Redbourn.

Chairman John Lowe said that it was a very successful evening: "Around 70 members attended Mr Lilley's talk and I think everyone was impressed with how good a public speaker he was. We also got to quiz Mr Lilley at the end of his speech which we all thoroughly enjoyed."
