COMMUTERS have been left stranded on platforms again as the freezing weather causes yet more chaos on the Thameslink line.
Most First Capital Connect services into London have been cancelled this morning (Wednesday), leaving many passengers unable to travel for another day.
There were no trains whatsoever last Thursday and trains were running on a severely reduced emergency timetable until yesterday morning (Tuesday).
Roads in and around St Albans and Harpenden have also been gridlocked this morning. Some of those worst affected included Drakes Drive in St Albans, the Harpenden Road, Watling Street, King Harry Lane, along with the Watford Road and Tippendell Lane in Chiswell Green.
Most students in the district have also been sent home from school as teachers struggle to get through the treacherous conditions.
