A MAN was taken to hospital with head and knee injuries after being in collision with a car this morning.
The accident involving a pedestrian in his 70s and a silver Ford Focus happened outside the Esso/Tesco petrol station in Lower Luton Road, Harpenden, at around 7am.
Ambulance crews from Harpenden and St Albans attended the scene.
Spokesperson for the service, Gary Sanderson, said: “A man who we believe to be in his 70s received a head and knee injury and following treatment by paramedics, he was conveyed to the Luton and Dunstable Hospital.”
A police spokesperson said the road remains closed between Station Road and Southview Road while investigations take place.
