LOCAL community groups have been invited to apply for grants from London Luton Airport’s 50,000 community trust fund.
This year’s fund is open to applications from groups in the St Albans district, including Harpenden, along with Luton, Stevenage, central Bedfordshire, north Herts and Aylesbury Vale.
Thirty-two grants were given for projects across the region last year, to help boost social, environmental and economic progress in the community. Previous recipients include St Albans Sea Cadets, Batford Community Action Group and the Harpenden Christmas Carnival.
The 50,000 fund is independently administered by Bedfordshire and Luton Community Foundation, with money given by its grants panel. For more details see www.londonlutoninthecommunity.com/Communitytrustfund
