A HAULAGE company director from St Albans has been banned from driving for 28 months, after pleading guilty to drink driving.
George Nunninkhoven, of Approach Road, appeared at St Albans Magistrates Court on Tuesday, following a road traffic collision in London Colney earlier this month.
The incident occurred at around 3.30pm on August 10, on Shenley Lane, when Mr Nunninkhoven’s Jaguar was in collision with another vehicle.
After providing a positive breath sample at the road side, he was taken to Hatfield Police Station where he subsequently gave a reading of 119 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35.
The 40 year old was disqualified from driving for 28 months, with the option to reduce the ban by 28 weeks if a drink driver awareness course was successfully completed.
Mr Nunninkhoven was also fined 1,700 and ordered to pay a 15 victim surcharge and 85 costs.
