FIREFIGHTERS were called to save a trapped kitten in St Albans this morning.
The black kitten, from Newgate Close, had crawled into a kitchen wall cavity and got stuck at around 8am.
A thermal imaging camera was used to locate the animal and firefighters then had to remove some kitchen cabinets and units to retrieve it.
The rescue mission took around an hour and the owner was reportedly very grateful as the cat is their only companion.
