IT was a miserable start to the morning for Thameslink rail passengers who were hit by delays of up to 90 minutes due to a broken down train.
A broken down train at London Blackfriars caused major disruption to First Capital Connect (FCC) trains travelling towards the city today (December 4).
While the vehicle has now been moved, due to the backlog the rail firm has reported ongoing delays of up to 90 minutes, which are expected to last until around 5pm.
Uno buses are operating between St Albans and Hatfield until further notice to help passengers reach their destinations where possible.
A spokesperson for FCC said: “We are working hard to resume a normal timetable and aim for this to be in place by the evening peak.”
