THOUSANDS of pounds worth of damage were caused to an air conditioning unit at a supermarket in a neighbourhood shopping centre at the weekend.
Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with any information after more than £100,000 worth of damage was caused to the air con unit at the Co-op in Cell Barnes Lane, St Albans.
The damage was caused sometime between 9pm on Saturday (29) and 6.30am on Sunday (30).
PCSO Lena Bhogaita said: “The damage was deliberately caused using concrete breeze blocks. We are asking for the public’s help in letting us know who caused this damage – if you saw anyone acting suspiciously over the weekend by the Co-op or know who may be responsible, please get in touch with us.”
