TRAIN lovers marked their first half century with a get-together in an entirely appropriate location – a signal box.
The St Albans branch of the Locomotive Club of Great Britain (LCGB) celebrated their 50th anniversary with a buffet lunch recently.
Members of the society gathered at the Midland Railway signal box by the city station earlier this month and didn’t let a bout of rain dampen their enthusiasm.
The branch hold meetings monthly from September to May and host well-known speakers on a range of historical and modern subjects.
