POLICE have arrested a man in connection with an armed robbery at the Colney Heath post office last Friday (June 14).
A spokesman for Herts Police said that a man entered the post office at 3.53pm, pulled out a knife and demanded that the person behind the counter fill a bag with cash from the till.
The robber left the premises in an unknown direction.
The police have launched an appeal for information following the incident which, according to a local source, left the victim extremely shaken.
A 32-year-old man from St Albans has been arrested on suspicion of armed robbery and released on bail, which he is due to answer on July 4.
