Commuters were greeted by shaking tins - and gave generously - when Harpenden Lions Club members collected funds for vital relief work following typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines.
The Lions were at Harpenden station from 6.30am to 9.30am on Tuesday morning (19) and collected £840 for the disaster appeal.
Lions Clubs in the British Isles and Ireland have pledged to raise £200,000 to send a thousand LifeSaver water filtration systems to the affected areas.
