A 74-year-old man who holed himself up in a house with a gun arsenal has had his police bail cancelled.
A spokesperson for Herts Police said the decision to cancel bail for Brian Lightfoot was for medical reasons but he stressed that investigations were continuing and further action could still be taken against him.
Mr Lightfoot was arrested after holing himself up at his home in The Slype, Gustard Wood (pictured), on October 14 with a number of guns after police had returned to the property with a firearms warrant following an incident with a woman in the house the previous day.
Negotiations with Mr Lightfoot continued all day and armed police were on hand if they were needed. It was not until around midnight that the incident came to an end.
