Police are searching for the owner of a crucifix necklace, which they believe could have some notable sentimental value.
The necklace was found on April 22 at 7pm near the disabled parking bays in the car park of Sainsbury’s in Griffiths Way.
Police released an image of the necklace, which had a yellow gold crucifix and two names engraved on the back with the date ‘October 1920’.
PC Ben Smith said: “It is likely that his crucifix holds great sentimental value and importance to the person who has lost it and I am very keen to see it reunited with its owner.
“If anyone believes it is their property, or knows who it may belong to, please contact me via Hertfordshire Constabulary’s non-emergency number 101.”
