Tailor Geoff Golding was snapped outside 10 Downing Street earlier this week - fuelling speculation that he might be adjusting the waistline of the Prime Minister’s suits.
The St Albans-based tailor who makes suits for the likes of Prince Andrew as well as diplomats, business leaders and politicians, was pictured arriving at 10 Downing Street at 8am on Tuesday morning with his tape measure around his neck.
Mr Golding, who runs his bespoke suit business from Hatfield Road in St Albans, and has a royal warrant, was tight-lipped about the visit this week but admitted it was ‘not the first time’ he had been called to the Prime Minister’s official residence.
He went on: “I don’t like anyone knowing who I am dealing with because I have some incredibly famous customers.”
The Times carried the photograph in a speculative piece about the Prime Minister’s expressed wish to lose weight.
