A fundraising event in memory of a teenager who died in a tragic jet ski accident is being held in Harpenden this Saturday, August 1.
Simon Satchwell, 14, of Milton Road in Harpenden, died in December 2013 in the jet ski accident in Abu Dhabi while he was on holiday with his father Christopher and twin brother Lucas.
Christopher has organised the event which runs from 3pm at The Skew Bridge pub in the town to raise funds for the science department of Sir John Lawes School where his son was a pupil.
There will be live music with Ridgeway and The Lizard Kings playing at 5pm and 8pm respectively, a DJ until 1am and a hog roast, raffle and auction. For the children there will be face painting and games.
The Simon Satchwell Festival, as Christopher has named it, is open to all and everyone is welcome.
