Govia Thameslink have confirmed that rush hour trains will be delayed after a death near St Albans City station this afternoon (Thursday).
Following the re-opening of all train lines, delays of up to two hours are what current (4pm) passengers face.
Roger Perkins, a spokesperson for Govia, said that the service has been heavily affected across the whole of the Thameslink line as they try to clear the back log of trains cancelled earlier in the day.
He added that he hopes the delay will be reduced for rush hour passengers.
Other lines coming in and out of St Albans are also affected, but all lines should be running at a regular speed now after initially running at a slower speed.
