Jay Edwards: 19, of Wiltshire Avenue, St Albans was committed to detention in a young offender institution for eight weeks after carrying out a serious assault on a vulnerable child at Watford on June 16 and 17 which involved sustained stabbing with a fork and the stubbing out of a cigarette in her face, and failing to surrender to custody at Luton Magistrates Court on December 3. He was also ordered to pay £250 compensation and £80 costs.

Jamie Gibson: 36, of Andrews Close, Shenley, was committed to prison for 12 weeks suspended for 12 months, ordered to carry out 120 hours unpaid community work, and pay compensation of £50 and £165 costs after assaulting a man by beating at Shenley on December 11, being in possession of a bag of cannabis, and using threatening or abusive words or behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress, both on the same date.

Yosra Shaheen: 25, of Partridge Road, St Albans, was given a 12 month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £35 costs after stealing a bag and clothing worth £102.15 belonging to New Look in St Albans on December 16.

Marcus Irving: 39, of Ladies Grove, St Albans, was given a 12 month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £100 costs after stealing meat worth £157.25 belonging to Marks & Spencer in St Albans on December 20.

Angelina Devlin: 18, of Charringdon Place, St Albans, was fined £20 plus £20.03 compensation and £50 costs after making off with £20.03 of petrol from St Albans on August 24.

Brian Moran: 53, of Pickford Hill, Batford, was fined £40 plus £105 costs after using threatening or abusive words or behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress at Station Road, Harpenden, on December 23.

Julie Maloney: 29, of Laxton Gardens, Shenley, was fined £80 plus £105 costs after using threatening or abusive words or behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress at Borehamwood, on December 2, and had a suspended sentence of 18 weeks suspended for 12 months extended to 15 months for committing a further offence during the operational period of a suspended sentence made on July 23.

Daniel Hackett: 40, of The Dell, Radlett, was fined £160 plus £105 costs after making a telephone call which conveyed a threat for the purpose of causing distress or anxiety to the recipient, at Abbots Langley on December 13.

Tyron Cunnington: 19, of New Kent Road, St Albans, was ordered to attend 29 sessions of a Building Better Relationships programme, carry out 40 hours unpaid community work, pay £100 compensation and £145 costs after damaging a wooden door at St Albans on September 11.

Antony Layng: 60, of Ashridge Drive, Bricket Wood, was fined £360 plus £346 costs after using racially aggravated threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause harassment, alarm or distress, at St Albans on July 25.

Margaret Melvin: 59, of High Street, London Colney, was fined £85 plus £105 costs and awarded three penalty points after speeding at 36mph along the 30mph Shenley Road at Borehamwood on April 29.

Jakolb Wrongski: of Townsend Avenue, St Albans, was fined £660 plus £151 costs and awarded six penalty points after failing to disclose the identity of the motorist using his vehicle when it was involved in an offence, at Harpenden on July 6, and was banned from driving for repeat offending and fined a further £660 for failing to disclose the identity of the motorist using his vehicle when it was involved in an offence, at Welwyn on July 6.

Paul Wood: 33, of Penn Road, Park Street, was fined £220 plus £107 costs and awarded three penalty points for speeding at 36mph along the 30mph A5183 Frogmore at St Albans on March 2.

Gary O’Reilly: 44, of Sebright Road, Markyate, was committed to prison for 12 weeks suspended for 12 months, ordered to carry out 200 hours unpaid community work, was banned from driving for 23 months and ordered to pay costs of £165 after driving while disqualified in Waterfields Way, Watford, on October 22. He was fined a further £500 for driving without insurance on the same date and location.

Robert Evans: 31, of Park Street Lane, St Albans, was fined £300 plus £115 costs and awarded five penalty points after speeding at 46mph along the 30mph A5183 Frogmore at St Albans on May 6.

Justin Walshe: 36, of Noke Shot, Harpenden, was fined £220 plus £107 costs and awarded three penalty points after speeding at 39mph along the 30mph A5183 Frogmore, St Albans, on May 6.

John Kaffash: 49, of Shenley Hill, Radlett, was fined £550 plus £140 costs and awarded six penalty points for failing to disclose the identity of the motorist using his vehicle when it was involved in an offence at St Albans on June 2.

Laura Coelho: 18, of Rendlesham Avenue, Radlett, was fined £660 plus £151 costs and was awarded eight penalty points for driving without insurance in Radlett Road, Watford, on September 1.

Matthew Groud: 35, of The Ridgeway, St Albans, was fined £100 plus £105 costs and awarded three penalty points for speeding at 38mph along the 30mph A1000 Broadwater Road at Welwyn Garden City on May 1.

John Napier: 65, of Tavistock Avenue, St Albans, was fined £100 plus £105 costs and awarded three penalty points for speeding at 36mph along the 30mph A5135 Elstree Way, Borehamwood, on April 30.
