Three men have been charged with drug and firearm offences after they were allegedly caught with a handgun, drugs and cash in St Albans on Tuesday (3).
The men were part of a group of four who were arrested following Metropolitan Police operation, assisted by armed police officers and Herts Police.
Aissa Bakhti, 27, of St Albans, has been charged with possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life or enable another to do so, possession of prohibited ammunition and conspiracy to supply a class A drug (cocaine).
Another, Jonsas Costa Paredes, 23, of no fixed address, and Amine Ghoul, 28, of no fixed address, were both also charged with conspiracy to supply a class A drug (cocaine).
The fourth man, a 25 year old from St Albans, was not charged and has been bailed pending further enquiries.
