The sister of a bus driver who had a heart attack at the wheel last week has assured those concerned about his wellbeing that he is ‘doing fine’.
The UNO bus driver, who has not been named, had a heart attack at the wheel near Cunningham Avenue on London Road last Wednesday (26).
The bus collided with four other vehicles and the driver, a man in his 50s, was taken to hospital in a serious but stable condition. No-one else was seriously injured. His sister contacted the Herts Advertiser to let those expressing concern on social media sites that he is OK.
The incident occurred at about 5.30pm and the roads were closed for about four hours.
Herts Police are appealing for information and anyone who can help is asked to contact them via the non-emergency number 101.
