The future of Wheathampstead library will be in the spotlight at a public meeting on Monday
The service is due to reopen in September as a community library, once volunteer staff are trained.
Management committee representative David Ireson said: “Many people have already volunteered and it is hoped that enough will come forward to be able to keep the library open for the hours which it currently operates.”
The meeting is being held at the Memorial Hall on Manford Road, with a 7.30pm start.
Two representatives from Hertfordshire library service, who have partnered with the volunteers, will be speaking at the event, as well as answering questions from the floor.
Mr Ireson said: “Libraries are a vital facility for all members of the community.
“This is a great opportunity to get involved in a really worthwhile community project.”
