A woman in her 30s has been arrested after thousands of pounds worth of suspected stolen goods were discovered during a police raid.
Officers enforcing a warrant at an address in Oysterfields, St Albans, on Friday found items including four TVs, a Chanel handbag and Crystal Champagne at the housing association premises.
Insp Jon Roche said: “We are now working with Aldwych Housing Association to review the residents’ tenancy as handling stolen property is a crime and a breach of a tenancy agreement.
“As a Community Safety Partnership, St Albans is using a multi-pronged approach to directly target known offenders; gather intelligence on those involved in crime; work with partner agencies, including housing associations; and make sure residents are given suitable crime prevention advice and join schemes like Neighbourhood Watch.”
The woman was arrested for handling stolen property and is now under police investigation.
