A motorcyclist has died following an accident on the M1 near to junction eight earlier this week.
The 33-year-old from Watford was pronounced dead at the scene after colliding with a barrier on the northbound entry slip on Wednesday afternoon.
All lanes were closed after the crash.
The ambulance service said: “We were called to reports of a road traffic collision on the M1 near Junction 8 at 2.13pm.
Two rapid response vehicles, an ambulance and the Essex and Herts Air Ambulance attended the scene.”
Sgt Keith Evans from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Road Policing Unit is appealing for anyone who saw the motorcyclist, who was travelling on a yellow Honda motorbike, to get in touch by calling 101, quoting Op Laconia, or report information online at https://www.herts.police.uk/Report.
