Remainers have met with Harpenden MP Bim Afolami to discuss life in the town after Brexit.
Harpenden for Europe, a local branch of European Movement UK, went to Westminster to address concerns they have about leaving the European Union.
The group said Mr Afolami “unequivocally stated” he would vote remain if the House of Commons was asked to leave the EU without a deal.
Committee member Damiano Sogaro said: “The fact that Bim Afolami was willing to listen to Harpenden for Europe was a reassuring indication that he wants to ensure Brexit is resolved in the best interests of his constituents. We look forward to working with him to support a democratic dialogue over the many ambiguities and difficulties of Brexit.”
After meeting with Mr Afolami, Richard attended an event in the House of Commons with Green Party leader Caroline Lucas, Labour MP for Streatham Chuka Umunna and Liberal Democrat Brexit spokesman Tom Brake.
