Hundreds of houses were plunged into darkness yesterday when a power cut hit St Albans.
At about 8.30pm more than 450 homes near Marshalswick were affected by the faulty underground cable.
Most properties had regained power within an hour and electricity was completely resupplied by about 4am today.
A spokesperson from UK Power Networks apologised for any inconvenience caused.
